It shows that it is supported in the router DB, however all of the initial flash fw links do not go anywhere. Is this router no longer supported or did the links just get killed with data moves? If it is still supported does anyone have a good initial flash fw?

Don't use the Router Database; it only gives (very old) minimum builds.
Builds after 35927 have been doing well on my k2.4 routers. Currently on 36079 and will prob try 36104 this week. Use builds under 3735552 bytes (3648 KB), since Netgear uses an extra partition. There is one standard build that appears available for you: dd-wrt.v24_usb_generic.bin

Absolutely, as per the wiki. Sorry, I see now that my prior reply made it sound like you could use a generic build for initial flash (maybe you can, but I certainly don't know, and wouldn't try it). I just meant that recent build no longer had the trailed build; little did I know that the -only- one (since eko builds are gone) is what Malachi posted.

Interesting that is the only one still available, and it is 3735610 bytes which is a bit more than the wiki (and Peacock) says will work. Of course the wiki may have just used the Peacock's reference, and maybe there's actually a bit more room. I'll try to find a boot log to verify...
Ok that was easy; right on wikidevi (just above here).
So my WNR2000v2 has a similar layout (couple extra partitions though) and dd-wrt overwrites right up to board_data. So it appears that means the 3300 can use 0x3e0000-0x20000 = 3932160 bytes (3840 KB), if the CFE doesn't limit the write size.
@Fclark77, let us know if that flashes, and I can update the wiki info.
Update: Ok, a bit more sleuthing...I found a ticket stating that 14144 failed to flash due to size:

I actually found one (before noticing that you and Malachi had responded), that was a publicly hosted (filehippo or something) file shared by some random user of another (not dd-wrt.com to go along with his walk through on his installation experience (you know what they say "once it's on the internet....."), from like 2008. Lol! As daring as I tend to be, I went ahead and gave it a shot. Voila! It flashed without problem and I was then able to load the recommended build via the dd-wrt web GUI. The problem of course, is that I had no idea what build I was loading prior to doing it (and of course didn't pay attention to that before reflashing to the USB build). I do still have the file and the md5 is: 254ba5bf6ee5d89963f4450559f6cc6a (if anyone maintains record of such things it could be used to look up that build), however it would be just as easy for me to simply red lash the router back to it and post that info (which I'd be happy to do) as well as posting that file so that it could be hard linked to the wiki.

So what version do you have now? And what is the output (telnet/ssh/GUI Commands) of `cat /proc/mtd` ?
Edit: in case that site disappears like the Eko builds, I'll attach it here too, since it is unknown yet whether the only BS one (13637) works. If someone tries it, let us know what build revision it is.

Hi! I'm a little late. But I still have DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/26/10) std-nokaid-nohot-nostore (SVN revision 15508M NEWD Eko) flashed on my router. If anyone can give me a dumb-downed how to save the firmware, I'll be happy to share it!

Two initial flash files in this thread; my question is, has anyone had issues upgrading to 44112? That would be what is needed to be focused on...
I was offering for, I guess, archive purposes as Eko versions are no longer available. But I guess it's no longer relevant since its a very old version. Kinda wanna upgrade the version.. but I only use this router as a back up.
