Hello all!
So I've been experiencing some firmware issues these last few months which made me wanna go back to the original router's firmware to see if I'd still experience the issues I have been for a few weeks now.
It's only been a few days but it's been running not only smoothly (meaning no dreaded lock ups needing reboots) but man, I can't believe how much speed I had also lost and gotten used to settling with. I pay for 100MB/S through my provider but was lucky to get 20-25mb/s on my laptop via wifi. After complaining to my ISP, they sent someone to test the lines and hardwired they were getting the correct speeds but through wifi not even close.
Well, since the switch to Linksys FW I have been running faster over wifi on all my devices.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar slowdowns using this software?
Need more info. Router model, including version number.
DD-WRT version, if it is installed
Screenshots of your wireless settings (including Advanced checkbox/tab) and Basic Settings page. (zip this in a file because this forum does not handle resizing images very well).
Also, look into Shortcut Forwarding Engine (SFE) (Basic Settings page). It will speed up NAT but you can not use it and Quality of Service (QoS) at the same time, at the moment. We are hoping this will be fixed in the future.
