Hi

I just set up a new build for my DD-WRT PC router. When I first tried a few stable builds I would get kernel panic. Eventually using a x64 build I got it up and running. BUT I cant get a WAN IP. First I was using r35898 build so I thought I'd try another r35874. But still no WAN IP. So I reconnected my old router and got the WAN MAC from that and tried cloning it. Still no luck. Do I need to assign NIC interfaces? How does it know which NIC to use as my WAN? Any Ideas. I'm a newbie to DD-WRT.

Yeah the WAN is disabled by default. You have to set it to DHCP automatic setting and click Save and Apply and reboot the modem too since they lock the IP address to a MAC address.
