I’ve got all of the above listed routers that are bricked and I don’t yet own a serial cable set up. Does anyone have a sparetheywould sell? Or recommend where to get one?

Google dd-wrt serial recovery, I have a link in the wiki for the type of cable. You can order them on eBay.

I have read and re-read every write-up and as many forum threads as possible regarding this process and am excited to get a hold of the cable / set up needed to connect via console / serial in order to debrick these. I have successfully debricked these routers (in previous instances of bad flashes), as well as a few other routers as well. The only reason I posted this thread was because it appeared that the links were old and the cables seemed harder to find now (so I figured I would ask here if anyone has multiple or spares they would want to part with; or if there were even users in the OKC area of the US that would want to sell one....

The one I linked is the one I buy. I usually buy more than one because I’ve carelessly hooked up the ground to vcc and fried a few.

Is this the write up you were referring to?

I wonder if there are any other forum members or dd-wrt users in the OKC area that might have the cables.......

Yeah I plan to buy one as soon as I have a couple of bucks to spare. The thing is, is that these routers are spares (because I seriously have way more than I could possibly need). i just buy them anytime I see them at yard sales or goodwill for next to nothing . Just to test with. As a matter of fact I just picked up an EA6300v1 for $10

Yup... I am exactly the same . I've got roughly 30 routers 15 of which support dd-wrt
