New build out.
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2018/04-19-2018-r35767/

Template to copy (after "Code:") for posting a reply:
Code:
Router/Version:
Firmware:
Kernel:
Reset?/Mode:
Issues/Errors:

Update with good and bad experiences.

Doesn't anyone check for updates? I do not even use a WRT anymore, but last two builds I have been the one to post about a new build.

Upgraded but version number remained at 35681- guessing this version wasn't updated for WRT3200ACM. Checking the timeline there looks to be a few open tickets in regards to bootloops and unable to upgrade- I think I am going to revert back to 35681 which has been running great.

Yeah I think it is a bad build. Two of the WRT1200AC v2 that I flashed it to both still show r35681 after flashing and took a bit longer than usual to boot.

Same result on my WRT3200ACM.

I've been a little nervous about updates lately. Everything was going very smoothly for me in DD-WRT land until r35667 when it all went south. Guess I should get back on the wagon and try.

Another confirmation of unsuccessful flash upgrade. Back to lede/openwrt (davidc502 snapshot). By far, the best wrt3200acm fw ever.

Not anymore. I was able to get my intranet working properly with r34578. I'm not upgrading it anymore. As far as I'm concerned, this router is EOL and will be replaced in a few months. I still continue to check the forum once a day, but there's no real point in screwing with this damned thing.

@Buddlespit
Understand fully. No Linksys on my network anymore and there will not be what with the 3 years of frustration with the WRT's. Linksys is on my do not buy list.
My 2 Netgears work very well.

Same here, I'm done with Linksys. I was just about to sell my WRT1900ACv1 when Linksys posted new firmware. If that doesn't work out, I'm going with Google WiFi or something similar. I need a company that will support a device when it's not working as intended and is willing to quickly patch problems. Personally, I'm shocked there was never a class action lawsuit.

While the update seemed to go well, it's build number didn't change and I have also lost my two drives attached in an Icy box via esata

is there a command tool to manually attach these, yes I know you have the mount command but that doesn't work if the drive is not in your /dev dir ......

Thanks in advance

If you don't mind, what were the three or four things that caused you frustration with the WRT's? I ask because I own one and haven't had problems. I'd consider changing routers if I have a better understanding of what I might be missing. Thanks.

Big thing is having a ready for DD-WRT statement on the box and not providing dd-wrt with decent wireless drivers and taking 2 years to get something that works most of the time and still missing wireless features. They are still working on the driver for the wrt3200 and it has been out for over 2 years. VERY POOR SUPPORT for a supposed ready for 3rd party firmware. I spent 3 years with wrt1900ac v1, wrt1900acs v1 and a wrt3200. If you read the forum you will read that there are still issues after being on the market for 2+ years.

Yes, I've been working my through the forums trying to get a good understanding on the issues. The 'networking' world sure has changed since I was running a Bulletin Board System on my Commodore 64 with a 300 baud modem some 30+ years ago.
