Has anyone of you guys running the 1043nd had issues with the wifi going down and not coming back up in the last releases? I'm still using the r34311 (I tried other versions but given the ntp issue, this one seemed the most stable and without that problem), but sometimes I loose the wifi with no computer finding it. The light goes dark, and I have to reboot the router.
I never experienced it before as I usually turn off the router during the night but I wanted to change places with my main router and this one and decided to let it on for a few weeks and check the stability. The first time this happened, the 1043 was up for about 8 days. The last time was a couple of days ago, when I formatted one of my laptops and had to synchronise google drive again (580gb) when I used the wired connection for about 300gb and then decided to use the wifi connection just as a brute force test, and after probably 200GB download the wifi connection was down.
We are not heavy users (just 2 with about 8/9 wifi devices: laptops, ipads smartphones) but I really wanted stability for not having my wife asking me all the time why the internet is down!!! I hardly use wired connections. The router is connected via powerline to my ISP router, which distributes ip addresses.

Turning off radio -> Enable
Turn radio off at boot -> Enable
After loading the new firmware the wifi networks become active and the devices connect to the wifi (!) at start. The LED dedicated to making visible that the wifi networks are active remains off but that of the connection flashes as the devices are connected. I tried to restart the router but the problem remains.Up to now with the other firmware the problem was not present.
Even if I press the appropriate button, the wifi networks remain active regardless of whether the dedicated LED is on or off.
--> Downgrade previous stable version.

mine is a v3... I have a v1 but its not in use...
well v3 has a regular and US version i guess yours is US version and if im not wrong, they are country domain/TX power fixed, so not much to do...
anyway if its not due to bad WiFi settings than its something either on client side or something like a bad radio hardware, stick to the build that's ok.... _________________ Atheros

Stubby DNS over TLS I DNSCrypt v2 by mac913
Ok, so I've been lurking around here for ages and following the discussions. I was using a very old dd-wrt version on my TPLINK TL-WDR3600 v1 and updated because of the one big bug. Since then I couldn't get my router to run smoothly anymore. I'm now on version 33986, and though some people have reported this version do be good for my model, I only get good performance after a restart, but soon after that my connection starts getting slower and slower until I finally have to reboot after just about 1 hour. So, the question of them all: can anybody recommend a firmware version which will work well with my old router? I still kind of like it, and don't want to change it. Thanks a lot!!
I skipped 33986. 33772 was a good build, but now I'm on 35034 and it works smoothly. What do you use on your WDR3600? _________________ TP-Link TL-WDR3600 v1

I probably do not use mine like kroolas does, I use mine as a utility router and mostly as a wireless client for other computers. It is not on all the time but it works with this firmware thread, standard errors (such as the httpd login error, ntp logged as error when it is success)

Two of the TL841 v9's run my home network and are working fine after about an hour so far. One of them is just an additional wired AP located a floor up. Still feel limited with cpu for NAT, with SFE enabled I still only get 60-70megabit maxes on a 100meg service. Anyone found a trick to squeeze more out of this model? Disabling the wan traffic counter seems to help by about 10megabit.

Does that version have the NTP issue?
What do you consider the NTP issue? Brainslayer fixed the ipv4 vs ipv6 issue, so ntp works fine now. NTP does give an error every hour, when it actually synced and is a success (wrong log stream in code)
