I doubt it. Considering that you can't even flash the newer rt-ac88u, rt-ac3100 and the rta5300 with the new encrypted cfe.

One more reason I am glad I went the Netgear route. Have r8000 that is supported by dd-wrt and hopefully in the not too distant future support for the r8000p. The box the r8000p even talks about 3rd party support.

Merlin does a good job. I ran his builds on a Netgear 7000.That was just before the wandering in to the Linksys WRT forest.

just a note

Merlin did not make any software for the R7000.

Xvortex "retrofited". Wasn't sanctioned/licensed by Merlin Or Asus.

Right Now it is the second post.

PSA: running Asuswrt-Merlin (or any fork of it) on non-Asus devices is ILLEGAL. Asuswrt-Merlin contains proprietary components that are only licensed for legal use on original Asus devices.

Had a brain fa.t. Wink Of course Merlin did not do a Netgear 7000. It was a Asus router 66U that I ran his on.
Tried Xvortex on the 7000, but settled on advanced tomato at the time.
