I see that build 33555 worked for you, did you reset or did you just upgraded keeping the settings?

ok so i don't quite know whats going on but i'm running latest firmware as of today. quite often (like every day or two) my WRT1900ACS (v1) decides to go on the wonk.
DHCP seems to stop dishing out new leases, I cannot access the WebGUI of the box. I need to hardware reboot it.
I set up sys log server on my pc and had it send to it and from what I can tell (i'm not very experienced or knowledgeable about kernel debugging etc) it seemed to have died around 945 today and here are the logs for around there. (there were a lot of dropped traffic around it, but it seems pretty usual).
Upgrading without reset may work in most cases. If you upgrade from a build that is not to old and there have not been any major changes in nvram variables between the versions, it usually works well.
A safe approach is to export the variables as text with "nvram show" and put them back in with "nvram set". This gives you also the possibilty to only restore selected variables.
Sweet! Thank you, very much.
Now, I will go learn how to do that (export, etc).
If you No expectation, but if you happen to see this response, and have the time, would you be willing to point me in the correct direction for instructions (remember....stupid NOOB)?
One more question though...
I'm currently on 33986.
Given the context of your last comments, should I upgrade incrementally to each one of the firmware versions between that and the current one, and test things after each one to make sure, or just go up to the latest as of today?

Hi, tomorrow my new WRT1900ACSV2 will arrive... (I hope)...
What is better to flash? Last 02-17-2018-r35034? Better this last build or other?
Thank you.
I'm using v3.0-r34578. Seems to be one of the most stable builds for this router. Newer builds I have tried have problems with NTP, dhcp IP address handouts, and web GUI freezing. Also found 12-29-2017-r34311 to be very stable.
Edit: Apologies. Just read your post again and saw you running WRT1900acsv2. I have WRT1900acv2, not sure of the differences there. _________________ Linksys WRT1900ACv2 - My new go to build: DD-WRT v3.0-r44048 std (08/02/20) - STABLE

There are new builds that can fix this issue but you'll need to wait for the server to get back up.
If you want to run lede you can look at the git hub for the latest version that addressed this issue.
The problem was found, it's a matter of time if Brain Slayer will post a new dd-wrt build, this issue doesn't effect the wrt3200acm. _________________ WRT3200ACM

It doesn't work, my wifi still online, and can connect...
Then your build is completely corrupt and still somehow loading a GUI screen? or your router is broken.
I've been around these things since the very first router of any kind was invented and I never had one that refused to turn off wifi after disabling it and applying the setting!
All I can say is best of luck to you.
P.S. You do know that you have click apply to apply the settings right? Clicking on save will do nothing unless you apply the settings! _________________ WRT3200ACM
