Hi. I wanted to upgrade my x86 firmware to the latest beta version due to recent WPA2 security flaws. I did the original installation almost 2 years ago and haven't upgraded it since. When I go to download the latest beta version, I see there are many different versions available ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2017/10-17-2017-r33525/x86/
How do I know which one to download? As it's been almost 2 years since I did the installation I don't remember the exact version I downloaded, and how are those webupgrade versions different? Are those the ones I would need to use via the web interface (Administration-Firmware Upgrade)? I don't see anything specifying my current version on the status page beyond it's current firmware version: DD-WRT v3.0-r28417 std (12/03/15)
Any assistance on making sure I get the correct file and to not accidentally break the router would be appreciated. Thanks.
If you used the 64bit version its this one. Only use if you have 4GB ram or more or have dual core cpu installed you have to pay for the 32bit version to have dual core cpu support.
