Hi,

I'm using DD-WRT V24-SP2(2/26/15)kongac on a R7000 NETGEAR.

I have my R7000 on a vehicle driving around in a large building with several AP's. It is configured 'client mode' using NAT for all the devices on the vehicle, connecting to the AP's with WPA2 AES. There is a RADIUS server for the AP's.

Usually, roaming goes fine, but once in a while, the RADIUS denies a connection (roaming) of the WPA2. The effect is that the vehicle (client) says it is connected to AP 1, but for the RADIUS server, it is still connected to the old AP (let's say AP 2).
This stops all communications, until the R7000 is reset (now done with the 'keep-alive'/watchdog function in dd-wrt) which will 'reset' the connection and communications is restored. The problem is that this takes around 5 minutes.

Is there another possibility to let the R7000 retry/reset the connection as soon as the RADIUS has denied the WPA2 request, so almost instant?

*** EDIT ****

In other words: can I check for accepted or denied connection within a script or so, and retry the connection if denied in this script?

Thanks in advance!
