I have not tried this build. I'm anxiously waiting for the 4.14 Kernel to be implemented.

I'm wondering if anyone can give me a hand. I'm got a WRT1900ACS v2 and with this build I cannot connect to the 2.4Ghz band when Core USB Support is enabled.

I imagine this is a bug, but this has been a constant for me with the last few builds I've tired. I can see the SSID, but it fails to connect with every device I've tried.

One thing I can confirm though, is that NAS speed has improved significantly with this build!! It was pretty much unusable before.

Cheers

I run r31100M kongmv (01/08/17) on my WRT1900 ACSv2.

Would like to upgrade to this build - anyone else running this build on a Linksys WRT1900 ACSv2 and can share their experience?

Also, which specific build are people running on this hardware? There's an official build here: https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2017/12-29-2017-r34311/linksys-wrt1900acsv2/

Given Kong no longer supports this, is official build the best route to go or is someone providing a better build for the WRT1900 ACSv2?

Only Brainslayer is doing builds for the WRT's so if you want to run DD-WRT then what you see in the betas link you have is it. There are other options, such as LEDE/Openwrt and Gargoyle.

Anyone have an update on this build or the 01-19-2018-r34578 build after a couple weeks use?

I'm still running r31924 on my 1900ac v1. The last few weeks, I've been experiencing oom_killer induced reboots every couple days, and I'm thinking its time to move to a different build.

Greetings, all. I'm hoping that someone has a better memory than I do...

A month ago I installed r34311 (12/29/17) on my stock 1900AC v1 and have been pretty happy with it. However, I've noticed that it reboots itself every few days. Yes, I know this is a known problem with the 4.9 kernel, but I thought that I'd read someplace late last year that the source of the problem had been discovered and that a fix was available (or at least in progress). However, I can no longer find where I thought I'd read that, so I'm wondering if I was imagining it.

Does anyone remember this problem being dealt with somewhere, or know if we've got a fix available or coming?

This isn't really a big problem for me - it's just annoying at this point - but I thought it might be something new or different if this was supposed to already be fixed.

Any comments/memories?

There is a sticky on the 1900ac v1 at the top of the forum that claims that the most stable build right now is build r31924, I can't say I don't have a 1900ac v1.
But here's the link from the sticky: https://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311836

Hope this helps. Very Happy

Currently on only builds with kernel version 4.4 or earlier work with the wrt1900ac v1, do not ask me why. Anything later causes reboot issues. All of the builds after this one have a higher kernel.

Get a good router like Netgear r7800 or r8000 or Asus 86u

I gave up on a wrt3200 after almost 2 years of heart ache. Linksys/Marvel have never given the 3rd party devs a good driver and the Linksys OEM firmware also still has wireless issues. It was time to move on, and in my case to a Netgear r8000 which currently is running Kong build and is faster in my simple iperf wireless test. I finally woke up to the fact that Linksys.Marvel was never going to give a good wireless driver to the devs when the cannot even get a good one for their own OEM builds.
