I had switched back over to my WRT32X in another attempt to flash DD-WRT. (no luck)
If I can get to it this weekend I'll switch them back, otherwise it'll be Monday.

I'll update the instant I have the WRT1900AC v1 back in service and have begun to test.

Sorry for the delay!
Bryan

Confused did an update to the r33772 and the 5ghz is gone. Does not show in web GUI at all just the 2.4ghz? I did try and load it from fresh but same thing no 5ghz. It also changes the 2.4 ghz set up at the same time like it didnt take any of the settings from the r33555 version and move them over. It a bit like it is a fresh start and not for the wrt1900ac v1.

But dont get me wrong it works no reset but also has the other problems. Crying or Very sad

Just updated, everything looks fine but it says the router is clocked at 600hz? I swear it was something, could be wrong I guess.

Check it again when under a load.

For example, run a speed test while watching the Status page.

I've also got the problem with 5Ghz not working anymore after updating; I've flashed the previous update back.
I'll wait for the next update. Flashing back the previous update dit solved the missing 5Ghz for now.

I upgraded from trusty dusty 31924 to the latest, and everything works, but wifi speeds are low. I've noticed this consistently when trying newer builds. It seems like it's harder for devices to stay on vht80 or vht80sgi and hold on to higher tx/rx rates. On 31924 my phone consistently stays locked in at vht80sgi. Right now on 33772 it's got a hold of vht80 and 117 tx rate but speedtest gets 17.99 Mbps down. On 31924 I always speedtest around 120 Mbps down.

Going to revert before my family wakes up and starts complaining about slow wifi...

Yup, just flashed back to trusty dusty 31924, my laptop went from 20 Mbps on speedtest to 133 Mbps. My phone is locked in at vht80sgi with 433M tx rate.

Even if the new release fixes the random reboots and locking up, the wifi performance just hasn't been right in a long time.

Forgetting about the other issues for the moment - has anyone had a reboot?

If not, I'll close the ticket with thanks and then we can move on to the rest.

Thank you all!
Bryan

I've had 2 reboots, one at about the 3 hour and one at the 6 hour mark. I was downloading an app update on my iphone when the wireless disconnected and disappeared. A few moments later I heard the whir of the startup fan. Logged in the router and seen it had been rebooted. The other time I was on a wired connection when it occurred. My router setup is pretty basic, I just use a USB thumb drive as network storage using samba and that's about it. Wireless speeds were pretty slow in this build. Also had SFE disabled

Back to r31924, I don't think that build can be beat.

Bryan,

Have you had a chance to flash this yet? Any reboots?
