Hello,
I hope this is the right subforum for my question. I have the following problem:
I want to get voltage pulses out of my USB Hub to trigger a Switch (Schmitt Trigger functionality). Therefore I want to use a USB to TTL converter (http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/Cables/USBRS232.htm). Is it possible to get controlled voltage pulses out of my TTL cable? I do not need to send "data", its only about triggering the Schmitt trigger for some seconds to certain times. If yes, how do I control my voltage pulses?

Thanks for reading

So you want to use that on your router or your PC? I don't think the router's USB is good for such applications. Any way, I think the Hardware DIY/hardware mods forum maybe more suitable for this type of question so I will move this thread over there.

Thanks for moving the thread.
I want to use my PC to control the Switch. The Switch is actually part of a particle accelerator at my university.
