How much foil should I add to the fake 6dbi antenna?

Websites had to say that either 30mm or 31.25mm was perfect and that any error was disaster. Probably, either figure is better than I bought from ebay. Mostly empty plastic. See photo.

In the photo:
At top is a real 6dbi antenna
Middle is the fake 6dbi antenna with the 1 inch element inside (actual 2dbi)
At bottom is the fake extended to 62.5mm with some foil. Not sure if that is the best thing to do for it. Ideas?

Oh my gosh. The foil actually worked. Now 4.8dbi. Given the size of the casing, perhaps a bit stronger antenna could fit in there?

P.S. Enjoy attached photo of these antennas on a working Roswill RNX-GX4. Lolz!
