Same problem again, back to 33525 Wink

Same issue here on my ac68u AP using 33655. Strange that local network (both wired to WiFi and wifi to wired) connections are fine for a while but after 30 minutes or so, all connections become less stable until they finally fail. At that point, ping doesn't respond either. Access to AP is still good. Revert back to Kong 33525 and all is well in the world again.

That said, this build on another ac68u running in client bridge mode seems fine (uptime going on 10 hours).

I had the same experience on my R7000 router. I too went back to 33525, but I can't get ovpn working anymore -- I'll have to spend some time someday looking into that.

I, too, rolled back to 33525 and no longer have the wifi disconnect issues. I've turned off auto-updates until further notice.

Hello everybody.
Am I wrong, or in these latest builds, after reset settings, SFE is disabled by default?

Thanks

From the SVN commit logs, you’ll likely need 33679 or later for WiFi issues to be resolved for ARM based Broadcom routers.

Hi all,

I just upgraded my R7000 from 32170M to 33675M.

For the most part it seems to work, but my OpenVPN server apparently doesn't work anymore. It worked fine before in 32170M.

First I did the upgrade without resetting the settings, but then also tried by resetting all settings and reconfiguring manually, but that didn't help.

I am not sure if there is an issue with the new version or whether there is some new setting required or maybe some of my old ones don't work anymore.

I would appreciate if anyone could put me on the right track to making the OpenVPN server working again.

Here a screenshot from the current configuration (same as on 32170M before):

I have filled in the:
* Public Server Cert
* CA Cert
* Private Server Key
* DH PEM
* and also a TLS Auth Key

Additionally I have this in Administration/Commands as Firewall Command:

Don't remember exactly why this is needed but for some reason it was needed to work before (I tried both ways with the new 33655M firmware, with the command and without and both times the result was the same).

On the client side (iPhone) I haven't made any changes of course.

The OpenVPN server log on dd-wrt doesn't show anything btw, while on the iPhone I can see it is trying to connect to the correct IP address and I see "Server poll timeout, trying next remote entry..." messages every 10 seconds, so apparently the connection gets a timeout because the router isn't responding. Maybe something to do with the TLS Auth?

The firewall rule is so that the VPN clients can reach internet otherwise they would be stuck on your LAN

The problem you have could be attributed to a new SSL version. You probably have to regenerate all your certificates with the latest version

Router: Netgear R7000
Firmware: v3.0-r33655M kongac (11/03/17)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.95 #470 SMP Fri Nov 3 00:38:04 CET 2017 armv7l
Status: Up and running for just over 24 hours
Reset: Soft boot before and after ddup
Errors: None

Upgraded via 'ddup --flash-latest' from r33630M. No 'erase nvram' this time.
The temperatures are good: CPU 60.2 °C / WL0 48.8 °C / WL1 49.7 °C (The R7000 is wall-mounted.)

Wireless connectivity is good, but my old Samsung Windows phone (on the shelf for the past several months) won't authenticate to either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. I'll do some more testing when I have time, but it's not a big deal.

Current basic R7000 setup (subject to change of course):
- SFE - On
- Static WAN IP
- LAN DHCP Enabled
- IPv4 only
- No additional VLANS
- Encrypt DNS enabled / Cisco OpenDNS
- Wireless: Regulatory Domain = UNITED_STATES, wl0 NG-Mixed (ch. 7 + 5), wl1 NA-Mixed (ch. 161 + 159), AES
- SNMP enabled, SSH enabled, Telnet disabled
- Firewall enabled, Log Level high
- Syslog: remote to Logentries. klogd: disabled.
- USB Flashdrive mounted as JFFS, adblocking via pixelserv
- NO: ttraf, VNC, Zabbix, VPN, Radius, OpenVPN
- NO: Port forwarding, UPnP, DMZ, QoS
- NO: Samba, CIFS, JFFS2, miniDLNA, Entware, Optware

*edit: Chromecast Sticks can also not be found anymore. Reverted back to 33525 which solve the issue. (not the vWLAN issue, only detecting chromecasts).

I have a TV with Chromecast built in, and am not able to cast to the TV with the latest couple of builds. I reverted back to 33525, but still can't get it to cast. My Android tablet won't even show anything, and my iPhone will put up the Netflix loading screen and then say it can't connect. It will load Pandora and YouTube just fine however. Just Netflix won't load. Is there anything special I need to do for it to work on build 33525? I've tried all kinds of things to no avail. Any help would be nice.

Do I need to do this?

Looks like Kong has been busy, he posted 11/4 builds already. Anyone know what's changed? I'll update later this weekend.
