Been searching long and wide for an easy flashing ddwrt travel router capable of openvpn for 2 devices. As a travel router I see any portable form factor, running b/g/n, powered through USB or battery. If there are external antennas, they should not be in a position where they can break off or bend easily in transport.

The glinet b/g/n routers are not supported by ddwrt.
The Mikrotek map lite is not supported by ddwrt, and routeros only has ovpn tcp (no udp) through a manual install.
The Linksys, notably TL-WR802N, is no longer supported by ddwrt in its recent iteration and with its low ressources may have issues running ovpn
The OY001 from oyewifi is sold allegedly with ddwrt, but I can't find it referenced in the ddwrrt database or forums and its site is all chinese. It is also a bit bulkier and antennas could be broken in travel.
Then there is a whole range of travel routers with hardware that could potentially run ddwrt, but appear unsupported (hootoo, xiaomi, etc.)
So, question, what are you using as sub $35 travel router?
