Issues/Errors: this router hasn't had time sync with this and 7 earlier firmwares - at one time I could time sync from the CLI but that doesn't work anymore - no time sync == no VPN - otherwise the router works fine so I can't say that it is bricked

Router/Version: Netgear R8000
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33215
Mode/Status: AP
Reset: Yes
Issues/Errors: Flashing, USB, NAS, Wifi

Can't flash this version with the browser. It stays in 'upgrading firmware'. After 10 minutes powecycled the router. Router booted up with the previous version (r33006) with the default settings.
Reverted to the factory firmware, then flashed the factory to ddwrt version of r33215. That worked, but found the following issue's:

- USB support is not stable. When USB support is turned on the first time, it recognizes the USB sticks. But after a reboot it doesn't.
It only works if USB support is turned off and then apply settings and turned on again and apply settings.

- The NAS share's doesn't show up the windows network neighbourhood (It does in r33006).

- Wifi is on, but no signal.

Reverted to r33006.

I have onehundredninetythree.sixtyseven.seventynine.twohundredandtwo as NTP IP and it works perfectly with time sync.

No it doesn't. The WNR3500L fails to flash.

That's probably true...I don't have a WNR3500L unit but the Netgear units typically (from past experience) use more flash...one section for the CFE...and another (hidden/protected) for MAC address and I believe it was radio settings in another section of the flash. This causes the amount of usable flash for firmware to be lessened.

Just because it fits on one unit...doesn't mean it will work on every unit due to how the manufacture sets up CFE area and other hidden areas of the flash.

Issues/Errors: Wireless Drops seems to happen about twice
a day router says its broadcasting but no device can see or connect, also Ipv6 address seems to come and go. Can force address by going to the IPv6 page hitting save and apply settings this will issue an ip but a little while later its like the router forgets it and releases it without attempting to obtain a new one. Unless I go back and repeat the above step.

Reverting back to DD-WRT v3.0-r33006 giga (08/03/17)

It didn't work for me when in CB mode. I still have to manually set the date/time. I wonder how Kong fixed his builds for NTP time. His second (fixed) build of 33010 has the NTP time working now.

Router/Version: Trendnet TEW828DRU
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33215 std (08/25/17)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.83 #1927 Fri Aug 25 07:38:00 CEST 2017 armv7l
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r33006 std (08/03/17)
Mode/Status: Gateway/AP
Reset: Yes

Issues/Errors: Router stable for ~15 mins then reboots, after which router reboots every couple of minutes. This behavior only happens when my other routers configured as client or repeater bridges are connected. Without client/repeater bridges router remains stable longer, but still requires a couple of reboots a day. Reverted to 33006.

Router/Version: Trendnet TEW828DRU
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33215 std (08/25/17)

Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r33006 std (08/03/17)
Mode/Status: Client Bridge
Reset: Yes

Issues/Errors: Router exhibited the same behavior when configured as a Gateway/AP as the other router. When configures as a Client Bridge all functions appear to work properly, however it exhibits the same instability in which a reboot is required a couple of times a day to regain connectivity. NTP not updating. Reverted to 33006.

Router/Version: Trendnet TEW818DRU
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r33215 std (08/25/17)

Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r33006 std (08/03/17)
Mode/Status: Client Bridge/OpenVPN Client
Reset: Yes

Issues/Errors: After ~24 hours up time processor usage is at 84%, every thing was still functioning properly and the router was not overly hot. A reboot brought the processor usage back down to its normal 4% range. Will continue to monitor and downgrade if the issue persists. NTP not updating.

Router Model: Buffalo WZR-600DHP2
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r33215 std (08/25/17)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.83 #1927 Fri Aug 25 07:38:00 CEST 2017 armv7l

Issues/Errors: wget does not work with https urls. If an https url is used this error is output: "wget: not an http or ftp url: https://rest_of_url".

Without going into the details, the reason I need wget to work with https urls is to wget an API url to send my IP address to Smart DNS type service. I feel as though this used to work in previous versions of dd-wrt, not sure when it stopped working.

Not working:
OpenVPN - not working even with the special instructions posted by jwh7:

"3. (egc) [from prior builds] "OpenVPN 2.4 is stable but you have to tweak your configuration files notably:"
mtu-disc yes
proto udp4"

I placed the following to commands in the additional config for OpenVPN client, and it still doesn't work:

mtu-disc yes
proto udp4
