I think it would be very helpful to have an RSS feed that dd-wrt users could subscribe to in order to be notified when new builds are released.

Is that something already set up somewhere?

As it seems to be, an ad hoc reminder of some kind is needed to then scrutinize the forums for build notifications. Which seems inefficient and likely to lead to users potentially going longer without important fixes.

I see a blog button on this site. But, it appears to be broken.

Any thoughts about setting up a simple blog with RSS capability and posting build update notifications there?

I was also wanting a feed for new builds.

Fortunately, because the project still has the http downloads directory (in addition to ftp), I was able to make one.

http://feed43.com/ddwrt_builds.xml

I used a free service called feed43 that basically scans web html for changes meeting certain criteria, which can then be sorted into "articles".

I used the following settings:

Note that the feed I created is just for 2018 builds at the moment, as that is the current year at time of writing. If someone reads this after 2018 and I updated the feed, they could create their own using the http downloads page for that year (http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/XXXX/ where XXXX is the year of interest).

---

Edit: It seems Feed43 has imposed a limit of 20 news items per feed for free accounts.

To get around this, I've updated the feed's global serarch pattern to "Aug-2018{%}</pre>", altering it to start at the mid-August 2018 releases.

I'll need to update the feed every month or two to ensure it doesn't surpass the 20-item limit (after which point it won't add new releases to the feed).

Since the last post in this thread, Feed43 seems to have gone somewhat defunct. If you prefer using Feed43's method above, you can set up a feed on RSS Everything using the instructions above. Alternatively, as sir @IONK has done, you can also create a feed on PolitePol, which uses xpath:
