Come on y'all I know for a fact ddwrt can be put on the NETGEAR WNR1000 V2 because I was able to put openwrt on it through tftp so it shouldn't be too hard to make ddwrt work. The link to the openwrt tutorial/download for it is https://gist.github.com/SaltwaterC/ef49c8a4df81c8896153

This is an old file for sure, last time I read through was about 2 years ago, give or take a couple months. Anyways, I do have one of these old routers, and I did do the flash and a couple other items once mentioned here, it all seemed to work ok. But now I got more interested in the internals of this unit. After removal of shell, I found on the board a "UART" connector on the main board. Has anyone found a schematic or any information on the internals? Does anyone know of what cable would be required, or if this is a pin jumper activation post? Any information would be good.
Thanks,

Okay so I know this is an old thread and router but it would still be nice to see ddwrt for it. If anyone wants the firmware or any related software for this router it can be found here https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/netgear/netgear_wnr1000_v2 So this should help at least a little
