Virtual wifi not working

Maybe someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong. I went back to tomato for now, because I've tried the latest Kong build on my r7000 and I tried every way to get my virtual w0.1. I unbridged and setup DHCP for it. I followed this http://tips.desipro.de/2013/12/06/guest-wifi-setup-dd-wrt/. I also tried other ways. When checking NVRAM it looked right. It would all ways tell me I using the wrong password when trying to connect to test if its working. I'm hoping to find out what I'm doing wrong, because I think I will like DDWRT over my Tomato with using openvpn.

No one??? I was hoping someone has figured this out, as I've seen several with this issue in the past with the virtual wifi(guest wifi), but never saw a resolution. I have the kongs ddwrt vs after r31575 (6-11-17) on a netgear r7000.

Configure everything and reboot router. I got password error until I rebooted.

Reboot is indeed necessary as the last step.
Some things to consider:
erase nvram and configure manually
The latest Kong versions use the default password the router came with (I think) so try the default router password
