Had 3 or 4 random reboots yesterday. Wireless signal got very flaky. Going back to the version from May. _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL

Yep, I gave up on this build for my WRT1900ACv1 as well. Too unstable.
Not sure how to report issues to Brainslayer but he needs to be made aware of the incompatibility of these devices with the 4.9.x kernel.
I jumped over to DavidC's LEDE build that he does especially for v1 owners that uses a 4.4.x kernel instead of the 4.9.x. So far, so good (though I much prefer DD-WRT's UI vs LuCi on LEDE/OpenWRT)

Looks like the high powered cpu really pays off with VPN support. I don't use it myself, but I note that folks who do and have a wrt3200 seem to get almost the same download speed with and without VPN. Becomes clear why Linksys put this cpu in this beast. _________________ Unifi Security Gateway:Unifi Firmware Netgear r7800:Voxel Firmware Modem:Netgear CM500V voice and Data. To confirm what others have reported.
Upgraded fine, no issues, everything was running along smoothly, but after about 2 hours it became unresponsive. Terminal session locked up, could not ping the unit and about 30 secs later it rebooted on its own.
More:
I have a fairly customized setup. I restart syslogd upon bootup so instead of
/tmp/var/log/messages
it saves the logs to
/opt/var/log/messages.2017-06-05.r32170.log
The /opt/ folder being on permanent storage mounted usb drive, just so at times like this I can go back and look at the log and that the log files are named by the build version helps a lot when switching back and forth. And today.... nada! No recent or remotely relevant log entries. Well you know what they say, best laid plans or how to make God laugh...
My router takes about 48 secs from issuing a reboot command until the startup script /tmp/.rc_startup fires. Given the timing and the fact that I was actively using the terminal session at the time, it is hard to say for sure, but it seemed like the lockup preceded the reboot. As if the reboot was "effect" rather than "cause".
While certainly rebooting would cause the terminal session to end and so on, and human perception of time being a bit subjective, particularly at WTF moments, for what it is worth it seemed locked up for at least a minute before the reboot actually happened. Also, I use SecureCRT as my terminal client and the way it normally works when I issue a reboot, SecureCRT loses the connection and closes the session window. In this case it did not, it simply locked up also, which is unusual and the only time ever I can remember that happening.
So, back to r31791 for me...
And no issues re-flashing the r31791 back either. _________________ WRT1900ACv1.r31791.2017.03.30

Been using for 3 days now on a WRT 1900ACS V1 without any problems, been doing some heavy uploading and downloading plus watching Blu-ray rips from a network drive attached to the router

Updated from 31924 with no reset through dd-wrt gui. At first I thought I may have a DNS issue, but a second reset and all is well.
With OpenVPN disabled I hit the highest download & upload speeds I've ever seen!
I have 150/15 through Cox and my first speed check with Ookla was 187/17. Fast.com was 180.
I switched over to SpeedOf.me and got 157/15 which is the best I have got with that particular speed check.
My OpenVPN speeds are a little slower than normal, but that could be on ipVanish's end or because of the time of day (3:15 pm central). I'll check again this evening and update if they do not improve.
My wrt1900ac v1 gas been up for almost 3 hours with no real problems.
So far the only issue is the USB LEDs are not on. Samba is running and working as it should. I can access my NAS with no problems - in fact Samba started after the reboot for the first time without having to disconnect / reconnect my drive.
I tried restarting USB Support, but still no LEDs.
Not a big deal for me!
Haven't experienced any resets yet & just got the fastest upload speed through OpenVPN TCP connection.
Tested with SpeedOf.me at 10:15am central.
Results: 31.87 Mbps Download / 6.81 Mbps Upload _________________ DD-WRT Installation & Setup TUTORIAL http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=311117

I just had a random reboot with this build on my v1 after about 1.5 days of uptime.
Also just had a random reboot after about 36 hours.
I had a driver crash and I think kernel panic after around 2 days of running. Hard reboot was the only way to get the router going again. I'll downgrade until current version is more stable on 4.9 kernel series.

I loaded this firmware on my wrt 1900ac v1 and it ran for 2 days without a problem. Then it did a random boot... then it proceeded to reboot about four times before I turned it off. On start up, it continued to reboot for about ten minutes while I scrambled to try and find out (or remember) how to get it to load from the second partition. Then suddenly it stopped rebooting and I went back to the last kong build.

I suspect there might be a driver stability issue. I had a reboot when I was using WLAN (5Ghz). To get the CPU at correct speed I had to downgrade to April build. After the downgrade everything has been stable.
