Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build (e.g. 29621_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv64k.bin). Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

Test router running openVPN server.
Working ok.
OpenVPN server log is still blank in Status/OpenVPN tab. AFAIK this
is the case for all routers.... broadcom & atheros.
dd-wrt.v24-31899_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega.bin is attached if anyone else wants it.

Router: e3000
Firmware: 31899 K3_mega.bin (supplied by link from mrjdc)
Status: Working with acceptions
Reset:no then yes
Errors: can't connect to USB stick until navigation to the Services/NAS tab and clicking apply. Then NAS works correctly. This has been going on for several builds.
None of my other NAS serving units (R7000's, WZR-600HP) exhibit this behavior...just this unit with K3 mega build installed.

update failed on rt-ac88u. It just shows the old build number/date on the top right corner of the web ui.
I can confirm. Same problem with all builds since r31690, still reported. But luckily we are the last ac88u owners who want to use DD-WRT, so nobody cares.

Does toggling usb core support in the USB tab also make the stick available? _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!

Errors: I just lost the management at the OpenVPN log, but al the rest looks to be working well.
Exact same behaviour for other units: WRT1900AC/ACS, EA8500, but since these aren't broadcom I presume you aren't interested.
Any workaround to return back the management log ? _________________ 7 x Broadcom BCM5300 chip rev 1 - Asus RT-AC66U ----> v3.0-r31899 giga (04/24/17)

1. Clicking Disable, Apply Settings, then Enable in Services->Core USB caused DD-WRT to reboot (crashed???). After reboot, Core USB remained Disabled. (need to reset data???)
2. LAN LED ... too lazy to check!
3. DDNS function working normally and didn't crash like 31722
4. wireless working normally

In my Asus RT-N18U, this action (Disable -> Apply -> Enable) caused DD-WRT to reboot. USB Core remained Disabled after reboot. Note that I didn't reset data during the firmware upgrade from 31825 to 31899.
BTW, the change log mentioned a ticket related to Samba.
Update: Problem solved
After you clicked "Enable" in USB Core, **BEFORE** hitting Apply Settings, you needed to disable USB Storage and USB Printer. After USB core was enabled, you could then enable USB Storage & USB Printer.
Suggestion to user interface changes:
Whenever someone disable USB Core, the interface should auto-magically disable USB Storage, USB Printer and USB over IP. _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)
