I'm on Kong 31100 and have no issues with anything. Throughput is good, everything works, no hiccups.
Is there any reason to continue going forward with newer builds from BS?
If so, can I flash BS over the top of existing and keep all my settings? Specifically, I have a bunch of special configs for isolated guest network that I'm not sure I could reproduce because it's been so long since I set it up. I don't want to lose that. _________________ Routing:.......Asus RT-AX88U (Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14) Switching:....Netgear GS608_V3 & GS605_V4, TrendNet TEG-S82G & TEG-S50G
It seems that way. The site must have been shut down within the last day or two, because when I try to go to http://desipro.de/ddwrt/K3-AC-MVEBU/ I get redirected to a porn site
It figures. Right when I want to get the latest build for my WRT1900ACS, the download site gets shutdown. Does anyone know where we can get the Kong builds for the WRT1900 series? This is absurd. I think the latest one was from January or March. I was just on the site yesterday but didn't download it yet!

I have had very good luck with Brainslayer's latest builds on my wrt1900acs v1 and wrt3200acm. In my environment Brainslayer's builds run better then LEDE. Not sure why.
So while I was sorry to see Kong quit the wrt's Brainslayer has stepped up the game and is giving very good builds, IMHO. He has obviously done some tweaking of the firmware.
I'm just really worried I'd have to reconfigure, which I'm not sure I can do at this point. The config is kind of complex. _________________ Routing:.......Asus RT-AX88U (Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14) Switching:....Netgear GS608_V3 & GS605_V4, TrendNet TEG-S82G & TEG-S50G
Sounds complicated. You have to back up settings in any case. I just download the latest BS over Kong with all setting retains but you can switch to OEM if you want to keep oem partition. Make sure that "After flashing - Do not reset" is selected.
I just forced to change Wifi 5ghz back and same for Auto restart day and time but it was not a big deal
That actually sounds like a good idea. The only snag is that I don't have a copy of the firmware I'm using. So maybe could post it here?
I need 31100, Jan 8 for the WRT1900AC v1. _________________ Routing:.......Asus RT-AX88U (Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14) Switching:....Netgear GS608_V3 & GS605_V4, TrendNet TEG-S82G & TEG-S50G
Also, can someone remind me how to check the flash partitions via the CLI? I believe there was a way to do that but that was so long ago, I don't remember. _________________ Routing:.......Asus RT-AX88U (Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14) Switching:....Netgear GS608_V3 & GS605_V4, TrendNet TEG-S82G & TEG-S50G
I need AC v1. The very first version Linksys made. _________________ Routing:.......Asus RT-AX88U (Asuswrt-Merlin 384.14) Switching:....Netgear GS608_V3 & GS605_V4, TrendNet TEG-S82G & TEG-S50G
I have a 500Mbps connection and a stock firmware shows ~400-450Mbps on a a 5Ghz network in an uncrowded channel. After the flash I get maybe 80Mbps.
- Is there anything I can do to fix the settings in this build?
- Will the latest Kong build be better?
- Can anyone share the latest Kong build, since it's been taken down?
I have a bit of a problem. I have a Linksys WRT1900ACS router running Kong's latest firmware before his site went down. I read that I need to download his ddwrt-to-factory.img.bin file in order to go back to factory firmare. One problem, his site is no longer available, at last the "K3-AC-MVEBU" section of the site so now I have no idea how to restore my router to factory. Cana anyone help??
