Still having issues with new builds, 30880 running solid. I posted in a previous topic last time I tried.

Router: R7000
Firmware: 30880 -> 31205
Previously tried Firmware: 30880 -> 31085 -> 31100
Status: Intermittent hard lock
Reset: YES -> ddup with power cycle -> erase nvram with power cycle

This morning I did a ddup from the 30880 to this build. 30880 was showing 47 days of uptime, for reference. I updated, power cycled and waited.

Within an hour the unit hard locked, lost network connectivity and could not access the router. Had to power cycle to bring it back up.

I did a erase nvram to go back to factory, then manually set everything back up. When done, I power cycled again and waited.

Just now, the router was locked up as before. Had to power cycle. Flashed back to 30880 again as unfortunately I don't have time to test further with the possibility of losing my network.

Something changed between 30880 and 31085 that is causing this issue for me.

Is there something I can do to log what is happening?

I'll list some features I'm using that might not be standard. Basically this is what I enabled or changed after the factory reset:
- ntp server is set
- ddns with dyndns
- advanced routing, two static routes
- wireless using both radios, plus one guest network, unbridged with it's own dhcp
- static leases, 56 are set
- dnsmasq with local dns
- secure shell enabled
- zabbix client enabled
- port forwarding, 27 are set
- port range fwd, 3 are set
- qos enabled, htb fq_codel, 10 services set, 2 netmasks set
- ip filter set to westwood, tcp timeout decreased to 300
- custom firewall forcing some routing for dns and a local static route

Can you pm me an nvram dump?

nvram show

Actually I think it would be a good idea to add a script to the builds, that gathers common debug info and strips out personal info like passwords.

Router: Asus RT-AC5300
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r31205M kongac (02/03/17)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.45 #248 SMP Fri Feb 3 11:11:57 CET 2017 armv7l
Status: Working perfectly
Reset: Yes
Errors: No

So far the best two builds I ever tried are: v3.0-r31160M & v3.0-r31205M. I deleted all the previous builds I had stored and left these two, they're working perfectly.

Thank you Kong for your hard work and good outcome!

Router Model: AC1450 x2 (one primary and one repeater bridge)
Firmware: r31205M

I have tried this and all previous versions of builds from Kong. I have the same issue with all thus far. No ability to use as repeater bridge. The two routers will connect once in a while but go in and out and completely unstable. Throughput to internet is half speed over factory firmware so far, and oddly enough wifi5ghz is faster throughput than gigabit LAN in N mode. For basic router functions as a primary router it works fine. I even have OpenVPN running with policy based routing, static ip leases and no issues! Also I noticed when in repeater bridge mode it kills the wifi signal to the Primary router as if it's somehow masking it even with different ssid's

Just updated from previous release and no issues so far. What I have noticed is that DNSEncrypt needs to be turned off while booting and set after. When configured as attached the router would boot but no WiFi clients can connect. To resolve the issue I must disable DNSEncrypt and apply changes. Once all clients reconnect I enable DNSEncrypt and all is working fine.

Your temperature is OK, lower is better but it will do.
Your 2.4GHz seems disabled already as it is not showing up in the temeperature readings (only WL1 shows)

But you can disable Wifi on the Wireless/Basic Settings Tab, set Wireless Network Mode: Disabled

Anybody know if there is a bug that I do not have 2.4 on? Tried different modes and it's off completely
Thanks

@Kong,
The wireless repeater bridge is broken again on R8000 and ASUS RT-AC5300 routers with this release: v3.0-r31205M kongac (02/03/17).
Both routers result in boot loop once updated and power cycled.

This is was working with your previous release, r31160M (01/18/17). Sad
While R8000 worked fine in this release, ASUS RT-AC5300 was not able to get DHCP address but not in boot loop which is good news.

Router: R7k
Firmware: 30??? -> 31205M
Previously tried Firmware: kongac for years
Status: it hung this night
Reset: no
Kernel:
root@R7000:~# uname -a
Linux R7000 4.4.45 #248 SMP Fri Feb 3 11:11:57 CET 2017 armv7l DD-WRT

It never hung since I bought...
I flashed 31205M yesterday and it hung this night. (I'm in UTC+Cool
When it hung, devices can connect to Wifi but cannot access internet. It fails when I try to telnet or web access to the router.

I'm sorry that I can't provide a nvram dump. I only use wifi, dnsmasq, nat options. I built some user program and run on it.

Router: R7000
Firmware: 31085 -> 31205
Status: OK
Reset: No ddup no power cycle, no nvram reset

Had a hard-lock on the router a week or so ago while on 31085. powercycle fixed it. Then had an issue tonight with wireless latency (300ms - 2000ms pings to router). Turns out a rogue device was saturating the 2.4ghz radio which 90% of my wireless devices utilize.

31205 has been up for about 30 minutes so not sure on test results yet, but wireless calmed down after 10 minutes post-firmware update, most likely coincidental

RT-AC68U running good for a while.
Saw some freezing still monitoring to see how to recreate it.

softether vpn, although Kong put a fix to remove the tabs from the config file the tab characters are still there.

logs from the vpn are not there, in the past I wass using openvpn and PPTP, I saw attacks on my router inside the messages file, no more, I do not see logs on connections anymore either, any ideas why?

Your router is not supported by Kong.
