Same here. I bought the WRT3200ACM a month ago and am sticking with the Stock Firmware until the WIFI issues are resolved.

That is lovely for anyone that has a typical usage case... But for people like me with a non-standard connectivity setup, factory firmware is just no good. Sad After arguing with it for 2 weeks, I gave up and returned it. I found someone on Craplist selling a nearly brand new WRT1900AC unit (in box) and snagged that tonight. Hopefully it goes together as smoothly as the other V1 I put into service.

You know what erks me.
You knwo what really erks the sh!t out of me.

I will be watching a youtube video... and about 30 seconds in is when this POS, decides to crap out.

How can they release such crappy drivers and claim it is open firmware!

You know i miss the day before firmware updates... where they would have to test the ever loving sh!t out of your product before releasing it.

Damn you marvell/linksys. Get your stuff together.

I have no connectivity issues with my wrt1900acs v1. Stream stuff all night and no dropouts.

BUT I am running davidc502's LEDE builds. Gargoyle has been solid for me as well.

Hi there.

I have read the entire thread about this wifi issues that everyone is complaining about.
I also bought this router (wrt3200acm) 3 days ago. Installed the "stable" version that is on the dd-wrt webpage. Did some experimenting and configured things my way in terms of the wireless settings. Untill now i can safely say that after 24 hours my wifi hasn't droped a single time. Generally, how long does it take for it to "bug"? Or is it entirely random?

Edit: Do you guys think i should return the router and buy something better on the same price range?

Please do a speed test (speedtest.net) and see if your wifi connection speed in 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz bands remain consistent with your initial speed right after reboot.

I tested several DD-WRT settings - almost any possible good combination I can think of - and the result almost always result to the following: 1) On 2.4GHz band, after 24hrs, wifi speed is about 20-25% of initial speed after reboot; 2) unable to connect to either 2.4GHz band or 5GHz band after 24hrs.

If you don't see this problem, you may share your settings so we can test, if you're OK with that.

*sigh*

Wish I had read this prior to flashing my brand new WRT3200ACM yesterday :\

All setup and working fine yesterday, got home from work today and no 5ghz connection. Tried forcing my phone to connect and it won't, but 2.4ghz works great (maxes out my ISP connection at least).

Everything I have works fine on 2.4ghz so while less than ideal I'll just leave it at that and wait for an update I guess, assuming one is being worked on?

Yes they(Marvell) are working on it, looking towards next month for updated driver. You can follow the issue here https://github.com/kaloz/mwlwifi/issues/118

Yep I saw/found that by reading through previous posts, and this morning my 2.4ghz is still running so I'm still okay with this. I have my EA6500 just sitting here now so I may put it back up as an AP if it gets really bad, but the whole point of buying the 3200 was to fix my wifi coverage so I don't really like that idea.

I'm pretty patient though, and also way too lazy to bother with a refund for the thing. Also I've already mounted it to my wall and routed the cabling to it, so I'd be annoyed removing it Smile

I just use my 3200 for WDS testing in both 2g/5g Smile
