I have a Linksys WRT1900ACS and am trying to figure out the best / most stable build to install. I'm confused, as I'm seeing several different options and can't seem to find anything in the forums. Any help would be much appreciated.
BrainSlayer also has new releases (much never than whats in the router DB), but there are reports of his latest builds being too big to flash. So I would start with the above link to Kong's.
Ok, I managed to install the latest BrainSlayer version, but the latest BS factory-to-ddwrt didn't work, so I used the one supplied in the router database.
( WRT1900ACS Firmware: webflash image for initial installation - factory-to-ddwrt.img - 2016-01-14 - 30,50 MB) then the update to DD-WRT v3.0-r30631 std (09/14/16) worked like a charm...
I am also wondering if anyone can recommend a stable build for WRT1900ACS. I just purchased one and setup the latest firmware and I'm having a few problems.
I'm unable to adjust my Tx Power without the wifi going down. Sys-info displays 30 dmB after I reboot regardless what I set it.
I'm not interested in firmware listed in the database as it's too old and I care about security updates.
Since the WRT1900ACS has 2 partitions for firmware I prefer to reboot into the Linksys Firmware, and then install the kong factory to ddwrt build. _________________
