Let me add that with this build as well as the last one. I have to reboot my 68u after 3 or 4 days as the wireless gets flaky and does random packet failures. Odd that it shows no errors but it does drop packets moving through the router. I only use it as a AP so its WIFI-LAN moving through the router. I will let you know if I can come up with any reason for it

R7000 Netgear

Came home today, and no internet access. Rebooted modem first still no internet.

Rebooted router and internet is working. Up time was only 2 days.

Setup is vanilla, only running Open VPN.

I went back to last version for now.

Just an FYI.

If this happens again you might try restarting Open VPN before preforming a router reboot.

Yeah, I think there is something unreliable with the OpenVPN client is this build. R30600M is working flawless for me.

I'm on DD-WRT v3.0-r30600M kongac (09/09/16)and have not had that problem yet. I used to think it was my VPN provider, until they had me cycle OpenVPN.

I do know that you are doing a fantastic job in DD-wrt .. but i am a litle bit sad about my routers , althought some others guys told that their routers run fine , mine dont ...

R7000 crash in all K4 builds .. I need a router that is reliable and steady because i run a webserver on it .. This is working 29300 K3 build flawless It works at my office ..

I have other R7000 unit just for fun ( test ) .. it is running always your last build .. It still crashing ..

R8500 , This is my home router ..

Last builds have a serious issue with 2.4 wifi , my wife and my kids complain about it , ( netflix users ) . They say sometimes .. " There is no wifi " ... I teach them to plug router off and on ... I have 4 ip cams to surveillance using this wifi ,...Last night , i downgrade to 29300 .. i know that i wont have problems with this build ..

Just to help community i made many changes here in order to find out whats wrong with my settings .. I change the HD format .. i close some router's jobs .. ftp / samba / dlna / jffs / webserver / openvpn .. but i cant find the right bug .. ..

I am ready to install and test new builds according with next changes ...

I am sure that soon , BS and Kong will release a flawless build for this router ..

Ok Kong, I have a special problem with (at least) the last 2 builds.

I have 2 smartphones, one old Samsung Note 3 Neo and one new Samsung A9 Pro which should take place of the first one.

On both smartphone I have an application called Dropsync very useful to synchronize my Dropbox to my phone.
It has always been working fine since I use your builds on my R8000, more than one year ago.

With the last 2 builds, synchronisation can last more than few seconds or minutes and fail due to "Network Error". But everything else works fine (on smartphones and computers). I don't feel or see any network problem.

I would have suspected a problem with the application if I would not have just spent 4 days in a hotel where both smartphones were syncronising smoothly. Even several hours for the new A9 Pro for which it was the first synchronization because it couldn't work at home before I leave (build 30600).

And now I come back with 30645 installed and synchronisation fails again on both phones due to this "Network Error".

The problem if you whish to fix this issue is that you may request some logs or tests or whatever else and I am unable to perform anything apart installing a new build from the Web GUI of DD-WRT... Yes I am a real noob Embarassed

But if a geek has the same problem, he may gives you the right info you need...

Thanks anyway,

Lim.

I've been experiencing a bug with the last few builds and I've just realized what is happening.

Whenever I lose connection to my OpenVPN client server and it reconnects, its dropping internet connection to ALL clients not just the few IP's that are being routed to it. The actual WIFI connection to the router doesnt drop... i just lose all connections to the internet on all devices for a minute.

Hey stalonge, I'm still on 30600 on for both R7000s with over 11 days uptime. I have an Internet Radio device that also has uptime on over 11 dats too. My Work Laptop must have it's company VPN to do my work and I have never seen it disconnect with build 30600. My setup isn't simple with 8 SSIDs (2 APs & 6 VAPs) and 5 VLANs. I don't use Netflix but I do use Kodi and these devices are hardwired via LAN to TVs.

I don't use the OEM power adapters. I use 12V@5A power adapters connected to UPS or PowerLine Conditioner (not directly to the wall AC plug). When I loaded 30600 I then did the 'erase nvram' and reboot and manually hand entered the configuration to both routers.

unfortunetly , i dont have these results , 90% of my clients are wifi .. around 15 ... bug still there .. I use Kodi too and netflix a lot ..

I already thought that was a hardware problem , but when i run 29300 problems dissapear .. I have done erase nvram many times in all routers .. factory defaults too ... Bug persists ..

I will be waiting for a solution .. I believe it will be soon ..

Hugs

I've been experiencing a bug with the last few builds and I've just realized what is happening.

Whenever I lose connection to my OpenVPN client server and it reconnects, its dropping internet connection to ALL clients not just the few IP's that are being routed to it. The actual WIFI connection to the router doesnt drop... i just lose all connections to the internet on all devices for a minute.

This is syslog below of the reconnect that just occured .

Your config is incorrect.

Kong I dont see how?

ip ru results are only the devices I wish to route through to vpn.

Additional config is,

keepalive 10 120
resolv-retry infinite
remote-cert-tls server
remote-random
nobind
tun-mtu-extra 32
mssfix 1450
persist-key
persist-tun
verb 3
fast-io
route-nopull

When I check on a computer that is on the LAN that is not in the policy route list, it displays correctly as not being re-routed.

I will try to debug thanks for the direction.
