Nicely installed the DDWRT firmware on Linksys WRT1900AC V2.
Everything fine. Router working well.
I recall that Linksys provided a way to remotely log into the router and to control it with its smartwifi site. Now that the firmware been changed - is there a way to remotely mange it? From example - from work or from even abroad when traveling?
By the way WRT1900AC V2 has 1.6 GHZ processor and 512 MB memory - making it same as ACS that sells for much higher. The case has wrong info.

There is a DD-WRT companion app for Android, but it works only on your local connection (unless you VPN in).
If you are just starting out, and need remote access to tinker/whatnot, I would suggest teamviewer. Put it on at least one PC at home, and your laptop. Remote from the laptop into your home PC, and then you can tweak it from there. _________________ Tutorial for flashing WRT series WRT Installation,Upgrade & Basic Setup–Cliff Notes
