This build thread is for reporting successes and problem with loading this experimental test build. This is important info for developers and users. Always state your hardware and SPECIFIC build. Do not ask questions about your specific router or how to configure it in this thread; create your own thread to discuss any specific problems you have or need resolved. Please also do not respond to such questions. This thread is to report info, not to seek it. Posts that do not add to understanding this build will be deleted. Make sure you know how to flash properly and the risk before using this build. It is important to adhere to these requirements, to keep this thread from becoming impossibly long and useless. If you don't know what build to flash and how to flash properly and have a means of recovery if things should go wrong, do NOT flash this experimental test build.

I just flashed this build on WRT1900ACS, and it stopped working. I couldn't even open the router page with 192.168.1.1. May be it's because I didn't select "reset to defaults" when flashing? I had to go back to my previous installation (06-24-2016-r30016) by pressing reset button and doing the known on / off procedure.

Does this build require selecting "reset to defaults"?

It appears they are having issues with this build over on the Atheros platform as well.

Same for me on my WRT1900ACS

The unit stops working.

The cpu load hangs

I have attached a serial output to the router and after ended the boot process, in about 15-20 seconds, this is what happen:

Me too after many problems with the previews version 30082 have upgraded router with this new one but after that it wasn't possible to connect and have install an old version 29440 with some bugs but works. At this point it's uncomprehending to have this kind of bug where nothing can working and my question is was it realy tested before any proposal in download I'm not sure.

You will notice that when there is a new Branslayer build that it is for all 500+ routers. He cannot test everyone. One reason for the name beta. All builds on the official download page are done by him.

Reason I like Kong's builds. He has tested before posting.

Which in itself it a pretty amazing feat. He must use some type of script to update the entire database. I have older routers deployed as AP’s running recent 2016 BS builds and no issues whatsoever. I don’t list it in my sig and it is no longer in service but I still have my NETGEAR WNR834B. Just for laughs I dug it out of storage last week and flashed it with r30082 and it ran great,if you're interested page down for mods.

Anyway the point is here you have a $24.00(US currency) router from 2009 still getting support. So overall they are doing a great job on these releases and I could never go back to “factory firmware” again. However as you say that’s why they are known as “beta builds”.

Love the work BS and Kong share. I have a build from each on two different routers and am grateful.

That said, I had the same problem upgrading to this build on a WRT1200AC.

It actually showed up initially. But, when I clicked on the Networking tab it froze up and the internet light turned orange. After that, it wouldn't boot.

I was able to force it to boot the previous BS build in second partition by turning it off and on quickly 3 times.

Off course I understand that it is beta version and not possible to test all routers with but some users who have installed this release have bugs. Anyway I have updated the wrt1200ac with the Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r30016 std (06/24/16) and will stay with this build until there will be an other more stable.
