I just got done testing a Linksys Tri-Band EA9500 AC5400 Router it was given to me as compensation I know its not for sale yet I do have a firmware for it, I have no Idea what its status is since data for it on the FCC website seems to be missing like photos and other specs that were there before, I am hoping by providing this file better software can be made for the unit I have? The FCC Links are
https://fccid.io/Q87-EA9500

and

Official FCC search page (put "Q87" in Grantee Code and "-ea9500" in Product Code fields):

https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm?calledFromFrame=N

Info on this monster is scarce about 400-500 of us have these test units they have no stickers on them and not FCC# anywhere not even inside I took mine apart looking it does have 3 radios with huge heat sinks and 8 discreet antennas. I have attached a photo of it in operation. And a zipped Firmware I was giving in APK format. If I am violation in anyway let me know if not I am willing to help with developing firmware for this monster that has done nothing but impress even with its limitations set by its OEM software.

Too new, too old, it doesn't matter if he doesn't have the specifics to code for it. Right now I can't find anything other than one picture of the chip, and that is hazy at best.

Wish I could just type randomly on the keyboard while saying, enhance, enhance....

I bought this on sale yesterday and found this thread looking for a DD-WRT firmware.

I may have over bought on this even at $279. I want to upgrade from a WRT610N I bought in 2010.

If this will not have a DD-WRT FW soon, what is the next best similar wireless router that is supported in this price range?

Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread.

Thanks in advance!

I also jumped on the sale, which I still believe was a good deal. My plan for the moment is probably to just use this as a AP until I can get some other firmware on it to utilize features like ddns. I suspect sooner than later, that will happen. If it becomes clear that's not possible, I might return it, but we'll see in the coming weeks.

I'd also be happy to test any firmware builds which come out if anyone (brainslayer?) needs.
