I noticed a month ago or so, searching for an old post of mine (the first or second one I think, in fact...), that it had vanished. At the time, Google still showed it, but no longer.
I know nothing about this. I doubt it was done on purpose. I also don't know of a way to recover a deleted thread so it might be gone. Was it in the wrong forum given the new forums that were created? Could it have been moved? _________________ SIG:

No it was the primary thread about the WNDR4000; always in the Broadcom forums, at least since my first posts on 15 Jun 2015. Checking my cache, the title was:
Seconded, sorry to necro, this one shouldn't slip away. Thirty-six pages gone and one of the first models to gain 3.x support shouldn't just be ignored. It is the thread the database points to. I wanted to upgrade today, it had special notes about switching versions that pertained to this model (it would lock it unless you did 'x' first), they are needed. Can anyone assist?

Today I have run into a couple dead dd-wrt links from a google search --- now showing
'The topic or post you requested does not exist'
I know they were there months back...
Might have something to do with its downtime. I had no access for several hours yesterday.
Can only hope it is synced somewhere and will get everything back soon
Ya the WNDR4000 thread vanished a while ago.
Regarding k3.x though, there were a lot of things happening in the earlier days of that. I recently switched my WNDR4000 from k2.6 to k3.x (3.10 for this router), and just applied whatever latest version at that time on top. This was when I was testing Mobile Broadband for WAN and then ultimately set it up at a 2.4GHHz CB + 5GHz AP.
I used *_K3.x_mega-nv64k.bin on top of *_K2.6_big-nv64k.bin...and big instead of mega (for K26, the latter lacks the ntfs driver). Yeah I remember that thread, posted quite a few times in that and there was a lot of valuable information. Anyway, my WNDR4000 is still working fine, just moved house and updated it to dd-wrt.v24-30082_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-nv64k.bin without any problems.
I'm able to see both 2.4G and 5G connections with different AP names using WiFi Analyzer on my phone. Strange thing is, on my laptop with an Intel Wireless-N 7260 card, I can only see the 2.4G network, although task manager shows the Connection type as 802.11n. Is this something to do with mixed mode?
I'm also wondering about the speed. Again, Windows shows a maximum speed of 144Mbps, which would seem to be two 72Mbps channels. But the router is theoretically capable of 450Mbps according to Netgear and the Wiki. Is this a limitation in my laptop wifi card, in the router, in dd-wrt, in the 3.x kernel...?

I've seen things like that too; the Mixed/etc mode would affect it. N applies to both radios though, its just that legacy for 2.4G is G (and B...) while for 5GHz its A. So the WNDR4000 is capable of (I think) 300Mb/s on 2.4G and 450Mb/s on 5GHz (hence the N750).
