Hi all!
I've been playing around with OpenWRT's firmware for the WRT1900AC V1, but now i want to try DD-WRT.... Is there any precautions/steps on how should i proceed?
Also i took a look at the Router Support Wiki... there doesn't seem to be any installation instructions for this router yet?
I do not know how you have been running and upgrading when using Openwrt, which I am currently running by the way. I have always kept the Linksys partition on my wrt1900AC V1 when I do an install of Openwrt or DD-WRT. If that is what you have done then you can switch to the Linksys firmware and then grab the .img file you want to install and update in the Linksys UI. Not sure if you can flash DD-WRT from Openwrt. Openwrt does state they keep the capability to get back to the other partition on a bad flash. Have never tried that as I always keep the Linksys partition available.
