I'm currently running Kong's 2/17 build for the WRT1900AC V1... but last night I tried the 2/15, and also the BS 2/23 build with all the same results trying to get the XBox One to connect on the 5GHz range.
Does anyone have any problems getting your XBox One hooked up to 5GHz? My XBox sees the SSID when using an 80MHz channel, but cannot connect to it. It doesn't see it on the 40MHz channel, and sees it again on the 20MHz channel. The password is right. Nothing will let me connect/authenticate with it on 5GHz. I even tried different channels. Normally it's default for me on 132. I have other devices connect fine on 5GHz, like a Note5 and a laptop.
The XBox seems to works fine on 2.4GHz. It used to work fine on 5GHz when I was on stock firmware v1.10. Anyone else see this?
Note: 5GHz is setup as AP, AC/N-Mixed, VHT-80MHz, Channel 132, WPA2/AES
Have you tried another channel such as 149? 132 is a DFS channel and support for those has been spotty.

I didn't try that specific one... I was testing things further down the range. I'll give this a shot tonight and will report back. Thanks for the suggestion!

Well, bad news. It could see it on 149, but it couldn't connect to it again. I tried channel 100, and it didn't even see it. Then I tried channel 44, and it could see it, but again, couldn't connect.
Whackyness.
I even went back to Kong's 2/4 build, and no dice there either. 2.4GHz works fine.

Well, sh*t. I fixed it. What I did was change it from "AC-N/Mixed" to just "Mixed", and it worked immediately. WTH. :/ Yey.
I had this EXACT same issue on my Surface RT tablet. In another thread someone implied it was due to the "crappy" wifi driver Marvell has created for the opensource world.
I haven't a clue if that's true or not, just happy it works.

I can replicate this behaivior. But when i change it to "Mixed", my download speed decreases a lot.
Any suggestions?

You may want to do a channel survey... I found that some channels gave me faster speeds than others. Unfortunately, I also experienced "Channel shift", where it just kind of decided to change channels on me, eventhough I specified a specific channel. So now that's also on "auto", and it decided to pick channel 36 + 42 for me with VHT80. I'm just sticking with this for the interim. There may also be issues with the wifi radio driver, and waiting for a resolution for that as well from Marvell's end. Lots of variables! _________________ Device: Linksys WRT1900AC V1
