ASUS RT-N66U.

I just flashed v3.0-r29134 mega (02/19/16). It works really well.

I have a USB hard drive attached, with 4 partitions (ext3 OPT, ext3 JFFS, Linux Swap, & NTFS for Samba file sharing).

Can I run a DLNA server on this or other v3.0 builds? Maybe the "big" version? If so, how?

If not, is there another good build of DD-WRT that supports DLNA on this router?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I don't have any experience with your device, but the larger 'big' build should have miniDLNA just from looking at the file size. It'll also probably have an adblocker and webserver.

You enable MiniDNLA under the Services->NAS Tab.

I doubt its there, since he's currently on the "mega" build, which is <8mb.

Thanks everyone!!! Unlike the "mega" version, the "big" version includes "miniDLNA". I installed "v3.0-r29134 big". So far, DLNA & Samba (& repeater & routing throughput) are working well on my ASUS RT-N66U.

In case it helps anyone else... I tried 23218 (as Per Yugve Berg suggested), but it caused the router to reboot every few minutes. (Yes, I did a 30-30-30 reset.)

It would be good to have a feature table for "mega" and "big". The only feature table that I found (for K2.6) didn't list miniDLNA as a feature difference between "mega" & "big".

This seems to be a common request, especially on atheros, where flash is smaller and builds are device-specific and it comes down to what fits. It never seems to happen though. I've considered making a Google form where users can contribute and results are displayed on a spreadsheet.

This can be gleaned reasonably in the source code:
http://svn.dd-wrt.com/browser/src/router/configs/
For example, the k26 std_usb_nas, big, and giga have:
    CONFIG_NTFS3G=y
...(note; and not commented out), while only k26 giga has:
    CONFIG_MINIDLNA=y
Compared to k3x, 'big' also has DLNA enabled.
