Reset: none
Power light just flashes. Never seems to boot. Unable to get in touch with router. I have never done the tftp? thing before. Will have to do some reading.

I tried last night (shouldn't do an upgrade just before bed---makes me stupid...) & spent 2 hrs fiddling with tftp to get my timing right to revert back 28942...Guess I'll wait for the next one....
Note to self---Hmmmm, pays to READ the post before trying an upgrade
Router: TrendNet TEW-812DRU V2
Status: barely usable
Reset: Yes (I'm assuming this means the router reboots? Yes)
Errors: Stuck in reboot cycle.
I'm not even sure if I was supposed to test this release on my router, but I was hoping to get onto a more up-to-date version.
The router would constantly reboot with this release of DD-WRT, and the interface would only be accessible for a quick few seconds each time it rebooted. Luckily, I was somehow able to get it to reflash to my original version.

This is how I do it on my Mac. If anyone has a better workflow please share:
Step 1:
Configure your computer to static IP
IP: 192.168.11.5
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.11.1
Step 2:
With the router on, enter the following command on Terminal
sudo arp -s 192.168.11.1 xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx (where xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx is your router's MAC address)
Step 3:
Turn the router off, enter the following command on Terminal
tftp 192.168.11.1
on tftp mode write:
mode binary
put buffalo_to_ddwrt_webflash-MULTI.bin (don't press enter)
** you may need to write the full path to the firmware file if the shell wasn't on the firmware file directory
Step 4:
Turn router on. In a few seconds the router will accept tftp connections but you won't know exactly when. So right after I turn the router on I keep repeating the put command until it doesn't give me an error message (up arrow then enter)
Step 5:
If it succeeds it will say it transferred a file in X seconds. After that you'll need to wait for your router to do the upgrading job. It will flash the red led in front for a few minutes. Once it's done the router will boot normally. So you reconfigure your computer's network for DHCP and access the router at 192.168.1.1
