Hello - sorry if this is a stupid question. I switched from the BS builds to the Kong build this morning. I see that he released a new build just today (Jan 10th).

Where do I find release notes for Kong builds?
Well, there's the source control timeline that lists all the changesets since the previous builds *smile*:
Kong doesn't put out release notes. The builds that he posts are his "test" builds, so he just puts out the firmware and build number. They are tested, as opposed to BrainSlayer's builds that are for so many routers, few are able to be tested by him. Dd-wrt followers do test BS's firmware releases though, so unless you have a serial console adapter and know how to use it, it's advisable to either wait on test reports from those who do, or use Kong's dd-wrt releases.
There's also this nice person that posts source change logs:

OK, I was aware of both of those resources. Thanks for reaffirming, I appreciate it. Wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something additional.
Last newbie question... The "official" releases that are part of the DD-WRT main site Router Database. Who's build is that one for the WRT1900ACv1?
//Brew
"Official" releases are done by Brainslayer.
Both his and Kong's are off of the same source by the way. Kong's as noted above, are his own test builds and have been loaded and tested by him using his compile options. Because of supporting over 250 routers Brainslayer just cannot test them all.
I personally use Kong's builds but have tested brainslayer's builds from time to time.

To make it easier to find these links and since this tread is not too long yet its a good place to note the two build links. BrainSlayer vs Kong discussions are all over the forum, both builds are useful depending on how you want to beta test.
BrainSlayer (BS) Builds - Main builds that support over 500 routers. The official release builds eventually are chosen from these builds. Kong's code is included in these builds.

Kong Builds - Experimental builds that cover just the routers Kong tests personally. May be more reliable beta builds only because they are vetted by physical testing.
