DD-WRT : v24-sp2 (03/25/13) std 21061
Kernel : Linux 3.5.7 #6123 Mon Mar 25 04:37:30 CET 2013 mips

My problem is I can not upgrade or downgrade to any other firmwares such as below:

Anyone can help?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I did tried using TFTP in my XP, base on the DD-WRT 's document http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/TFTP_flash but I never can get it update.

It always returned "Timeout occurred" when I run this command "tftp -i 10.0.0.1 put abc.bin". The "abc.bin" which was renamed from "buffalo_to_ddwrt_webflash-MULTI.bin" easy for my typing.

Did I do something wrong? Any idea?

Regards,

Chiu

Have you disabled the Windows XP firewall?

I used the following to TFTP upgrade from Buffalo's:

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Buffalo_WZR-HP-G300NH#Debricking_Info_using_TFTP

I reset to defaults before doing it, but notice it says the bootloader is 192.168.11.1. Even though you changed the IP to 10.0.0.1, the bootloader is still 192.168.11.1 and the address you need to issue tftp.

The timing window is very short its going to take a lot of trial and error.
That being said i personally like to use pumpkin tftp and i found that putting a switch between the computer and the router helps greatly with the timing.
There is also a arp command to add a ip address this needs to be done also.

Make sure you are doing exactly as it says, such as the static IP settings and static ARP entry, and you are connected with a cable to the router. The only thing you should substitute is the filename of the firmware in the tftp command.

In the image you are trying to use 192.168.1.1. The correct IP is 192.168.11.1. Again, do EXACTLY as the wiki says. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Buffalo_WZR-HP-G300NH#Debricking_Info_using_TFTP

I got it on the first try.

I always use the windos cmd line after activating tftp client in add/remove programs and windows features in control panel. You type the command once and unplu/replug router then press enter on the command line wndow and wait.

I flash my WZR-HP-G300NH always via tftp and pretty much always first try.

For others facing similar, I found a great guide here: http://g300nh.blogspot.com/2010/06/firmware-flash-and-brick-recovery.html

You'll need to adopt this to your particular router firmware versions, mac address, etc.

I've not had good luck with windows, and use Linux for TFTP.
