Hello
At the moment we OpenWRT, but are not satisfied, wifi has big problems.
3 weeks ago I put ddwrt. It went right until I did a version update. After the update has not started. I had to do TTL flash by, and return to stock. then you can put OpenWRT, or stock but can not install ddwrt.
As soon as I install ddwrt by "WebGui" in stock or OpenWRT. The router restarts but does not start. What can I do to go to the DD-WRT?
mtd:
Could not open mtd device: linux
Can't open device for writing!
the latest version of DD-WRT, I tried flash, the TTL.
but the router remains dead.
"setenv serverip 192.168.1.2"
"setenv firmwareName ddwrt.img"?
"run update_both_images"
"reset"
If so what did you do to recover as you indicated you were not having any luck.
As for getting this working I am not sure where you are currently. What I would try for is getting the Linksys firmware on it and then only flashing from the Linksys partition. That gives you a known safe place should you have a firmware install go bad. This is how I do it and have not ever had any issues that could not be recovered with the reset 3 on/off cycles. When I update to a newer version of DD-WRT I switch to the Linksys partition and grab the .img file not the .bin.

I think there have been issues with r28598. I would install Kong's 28575. Kong tests his builds on the wrt1900's before posting. Brainslayer supports too many routers to test each one before posting, therefore it is always a risk when you install a Brainslayer build. Not a slam against Brainslayer just reality.
