Try mixed mode instead of 5g only.

That is crazy, it worked!

Everything switched right over to the 5GHz AP after changing that.

no auto channel ever, & be using a valid ht40 config, like 157+161 is valid, 157+153 is not. canada is best for 5ghz, much more channel selection, higher allowed tx power for mid channels
