I really hope you can get it working. I had the same issues but apparently DD-WRT didn't support USB for my little TP-LINK. Hope it's not the same problem with your box!

Anyone got some real input for me?

Hardware-wise, the router has 2 TX antennas, 2 RX antennas and is capable of 2 spatial streams. In sh ...

Same here - using USB stick to boot results in a no-go.

Read one of Sash's posts a few threads down and according to him, booting from USB is not supported. Which is a real shame IMO.

It's been covered lots of times.

What you are looking for is client bridge / repeater bridge mode. You're basically telling the router to treat it's wireless uplink as a sort of WAN interface.

Could someone give us descriptions how to build dd-wrt VM for VM workstation?
Thanks
I'd like to know that as well. Any tips? Just make a VMWare partition with two NICs and install as usual?

Say WHAT?

Anyway, just a note: DD-WRT DHCP offers a random free IP address in the given range. With a 100-150 address pool even if you only have one machine, it's likely it'll end up with 112 or 146.
