The most powerful router would be running the VPN gateway.

Would there be trouble in the setup with the WNDR4300 as the lead router off the modem (primary gateway)? It wouldn't be running the VPN ...

What I have done with a secondary router is set that up as the VPN router.

If the AC1450 is your main router and gateway with IP ending in .1,

and the R7800 is your secondary router running VPN ...

At one point, I had one of my wireless bands not showing after a reboot. I just re-loaded DD-WRT after appropriate 30/30/30 resets and it magically re-appeared.
