I have an R7000 as well. I had frequent disconnects until I Disabled the Airtime Fairness on the Basic Settings tab.

That's what cured my issue.

I've had my router reset many times and there were times it defaults to the router's original password. Check the sticker on the bottom of your unit. It has the default password on it.

Also, make sure you have the SB connected to the GL's WAN port...not LAN port. I got burned by that once upon a time.

I went back to 38581 build on the R7000. The last two builds would renew the DHCP WAN IP normally but occasionally set it to my modem 192.168.100.1 address instead of the actual ISP provided WAN.
