I finally had some more time to play with this. I can confirm that Blue Frog's suggested firmware DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/10/11) mega - build 16403M NEWD-2 Eko definately worked the best on my wrt600n v1. ...

The bottom of the router does not state what version I have... But when I had dd-wrt installed it said version 1.1

I am going to try the 610 version tomorrow and see if it works better.. I hope it ...

That assumption would be incorrect... Channels 8, 9 or 10 would be better than what you are competing for on 1-5.

Wouldn't this be an "upper" channel??

Why did you disable ACK timing? That may be the cause of the problem. Try the performance when ACK timing is at default 2000.
