i have the latest build: DD-WRT v3.0-r63600 std (01/30/26) (router WRT3200ACM)

why can't I see WG as OpenVPN in the status TAB?

yep PIA have great plans but no WG support....
Mullvad is quite expensive, but has a great WG support and nice feedback around..

even thou you have wrt3200acm it is still a dual core @1.8Ghz...and ...

Proton has free WG servers you can try/use.

Worked very well before I upgraded to paid, more servers, a great many servers.

No logging, based in Switzerland.

OpenVPN is very resource hungry protocol...and then router specs matters...for better performance you can try WireGuard if your VPN provider supports it..otherwise you'd need a better router...

Can anyone help me set up the correct configuration? the maximum speed with openvpn active is only 100Mbps, while if I use the manufacturer's app it reaches almost 300Mbps...

is it basically impossible to see ONT via dd-wrt? Do I always have to connect it with the cable? I also tried with ethernet switch, but still the same problem

I tried all the settings, but the ONT apparently doesn't allow access when the fiber cable is connected, I think a firmware restriction

I changed my dd-wrt router ip address to 192.168.2.1

(ONT IP: 192.168.1.1)

and i ran these commands at startup:

ifconfig wan:1 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
iptables -t nat -I POSTROU ...

I presume you mean your WAN connected to the ONT. And unless you've changed your DD-WRT subnet from default, it will never see the ONT or the internet. And this is my only comment, which I really didn ...
