Yeah, very odd they claim 2GB. Seems like blatant false advertising to me.

this device should have more than 512mb ram with 3 wifi cards for instance.

I'm not sure what's affordable for you, I will say however that both my Linksys MX4200 and MR7350 go to 30-28dBm depending on what channels you use. Neither of them are broadcom based units.
