The conlclusion is my case was probably an excercise in futility or a bad hacky install. I will have to unplug ethernet from the PC, connect my laptop to see if it breaks those things or not - as well ...

This was already in the Wiki, but I thought I would add a note anyway. This was probably added due to this thread Cool
Make sure you add "giveio.sys" to the end of what appears in the window ...

Looks fine in PuTTY and KiTTY, last I checked; on Mac, Linux, and Windoze, even. And people already complained about the change, lol. I presume this is under the current release of TeraTerm.

One thing to note is that there is a mandatory reset required after flashing Linux 6.12 builds. Also, we need serial logs.

Thanks for posting this. But we have been seeking serial logs for what is broken on the Linux 6.12 builds since the shift. Can't fix anything without logs. I think BrainSlayer has an R6800 or similar ...
