Station* or Station Bridged* mode can be used to make it a wifi client interface to another router, of course. So, did you acquire an EA8300 to replace your broken EA6700?

Default IP in most cases for DD-WRT is 192.168.1.1. Running arp -a should tell you if the router isn't using that default.
