It wasn't clear if you had or not is all I was getting at. Without serial logs / system logs, as well as configuration screenshots, we have no idea what may be wrong.

Sounds like it's time to RMA the thing if neither (the oldest) stock firmware nor current DD-WRT will flash. Unless you know how to remove and replace the flash chip.

If the normal TFTP recovery fails, you can try nmrpflash.
