I'm just talking simple logistics. For the R7000 we had kong's web site to utilize for d/l, change log, etc.

As far as I can tell the R7000 builds supported by BS while available are not as dial ...

There seems to be even a newer update at Netgear than the last released one.

I disagree that kong has to create the crash. IF there is some driver that might address the reboot issue that driver can be included in a test release and the people who are having the reboot issue ...

I had a Linksys WRT54G-TM. Nothing about upgrading it to DD-WRT was difficult. Was sorry to sell it when I let it go. It took Tomato or DD-WRT just fine.
