Make sure to check your settings, after 30-30-30 reset you need to enter them again.
If you can log on to the router then I doubt you have bricked it.

it works brilliant on the 2.4 ghz channels but when i switch to 5 ghz it stops finding the access point.

I don't have the options in my client bridge on wrt320n to set channels etc.

I've set one up as a Repeater Bridge without any issue, for both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz.
